Eisa Davis

Eisa Davis is an award-winning actor, writer, and singer-songwriter working on stage and screen. She is known for her roles as Cynthia Driscoll on House of Cards (2015-16), and as Rae, Bubbles' sister on The Wire (2003, 2008). She also played Irma in the acclaimed rock musical Passing Strange (2009), captured on film by Spike Lee. For her extensive work in the theatre, she has received an Obie Award for Sustained Excellence in Performance. A Berkeley native and Harvard grad, she was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in Drama for her play Bulrusher (2006), and wrote and starred in Angela's Mixtape (2009), named a best of the year by The New Yorker. She writes for the Netflix series She's Gotta Have It.
