Scott Coffey

As an actor, Scott Coffey honed his filmmaking skills working with directors such as Robert Zemeckis, Francis Ford Coppola, Paul Thomas Anderson and David Lynch. As a director, he's influenced by Bernardo Bertolucci, Robert Altman, and by his continuing longterm collaboration with Lynch, whom he considers a mentor. His first feature as a writer/director, Ellie Parker, competed in the Sundance Film festival to rave reviews. Adult World, featuring indelible performances by Emma Roberts, Evan Peters and John Cusack, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and was released by IFC Films. His latest film, It Takes Three, which premiered in December and stars Jared Gilman, Mikey Madison and Aurora Perrineau, was praised for its realistic portrayal of American teenagers. His films have earned critical acclaim for their humanistic sensibility, humor and honesty. As a writer, his adaptation of Haruki Murakami's All God's Children Can Dance was a Blacklist selection and was produced by Anonymous Content.
