As a former mixed martial arts champion, Lewis has competed in world-class organizations such as the UFC, Battlecade Extreme Fighting, and Vale Tudo Japan. However, it is his unparalleled skills as a martial arts instructor that have cemented his reputation as one of the most respected and sought-after trainers in the industry. Among his notable students are elite athletes such as Chuck Liddell, Tito Ortiz, Randy Couture, and BJ Penn, all in their prime.
Beyond his contributions as a martial arts icon, John Lewis played a pivotal role in introducing mixed martial arts and Ultimate Fighting to the UFC's current owners, Dana White, Lorenzo Fertitta, and Frank Fertitta. In fact, he trained them for years before they acquired the company.
