Elango and his friend Pulivetti come into possession of a time machine and they start profiting from it. However, their meddling with time prevents the death of a gangster, who begins to wreak havoc in their lives.

Raja, the only son of his family and owner of an unpopular cable channel, meets Priya and they fall in love. However, his father, Muthukrishnan, opposes to their marriage for some unknown reason.

Two families stay in identical bungalows, adjacent to each other, tracing their friendship to over forty years. Their respective progenies Chinna and Chella (Ajith and Jyotika) are childhood buddies, their easy camaraderie and strong bonding carried over to their adult years.
