Ranbir Pushp is a Novelist and prominent Screen Writer in India. He is nominated for Star screen awards and Filmfare Award for Best Screenplay and Filmfare Award for Best Story for the film Agni Sakshi. Frequent cast in his films includes Ajay Devgan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Saif Ali Khan, Sanjay Dutt, and Nana Patekar. He is known for his films such as Jaan, Deewana, Hameshaa, Agni Sakshi and Yaarana. His film Agni Sakshi received seven nominations at Filmfare. He gained national fame due to success of Agni Sakshi which later won a National Award. Pushp has worked for over 50 feature films and six television serials. He also penned songs and played various characters in many films. He has contributed to the field of literature with eight novels and 129 short stories. His literary work got many awards. Pushp has cinematic associations with different makers and directors like Gulshan Kumar, Rajshri Productions, Rakesh Roshan, Raj Kanwar, Sanjay Gupta, Tinu Anand, Surendra Mohan, Partho Ghosh, Raj N Sippy, and Subhash Ghai, to name a few. Ranbir Pushp born as Ranbir Kumar Kaushal to Mr. Kanshi Ram Kaushal and Mrs. Kaushaliya Devi in Patiala, Punjab (India). He adopted pen name Ranbir Pushp. He started writing short-stories for All India Radio during school days. After that, he studied in Govt. Mohindra College, Patiala. During college days he worked as a writer and actor for All India Radio and Television. Ranbir Pushp is married to Rachana Kaushal with whom he has three children, two daughters, and one son. Elder daughter Mahima Kaushal has been 'Manager-Digital Promotions' for T-series, where she digitally promoted films like, Airlift, Sarbjit, Hate Story 3, All is Well, Raaz Reboot, Sanam Re, Bhaag Johnny and more, as well as many T-series music singles, notably 'Dheere Dheere' that became India's first Youtube video to cross 200 Million views, she has also been associated with Rajshri Media Pvt. Ltd., and with STAR Network's content partner Trivone Digital Services agency, where she managed Digital and Social Media Marketing for STAR Network's TV Shows, notably 'Koffee With Karan Season 4', that won the agency it's first ever public award at DMAi Echo Awards under category 'Effectiveness-Publishing-Entertainment'. Younger daughter Kriti Kaushal has been working as Advertising & Branding Manager for international brands. Son Manbir Ranbir Kaushal is working in the field of Film Direction and is assisting Director Sanjay Gupta in his upcoming film 'Mumbai Saga'. Ranbir Pushp worked as a sub-editor (with Kamleshwar - awarded Padma Bhushan) for the magazine 'Shree Varsha' - (1980-1981). He has been associated with writer Kaushal Bharti and Baldev Deep. His novel "Pyasa Panghat" was highly acclaimed and had three editions published in a month's time. He worked as a member of script approval committee Rajaya Film Vikas Parishad with Chairperson Jaya Bachchan for Ministry of Information and Public Relation, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh-(2003-2006). Pushp served as the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) for a Hindi TV Channel (2010-2011) and worked as an expert script-compare and evaluator, for ( SWA ) Screen Writer's Association, Mumbai (2014 - 2018). Actor Nana Patekar won National Award for his performance in his film "Agni Sakshi". Ranbir Pushp entered in the world of film direction with a multi-starrer film "Yaarana", (2015) a Tips music presentation which was rated 5 stars by Jagbani. Ranbir Pushp is working on his next multi-starrer project titled Besan with actors Anil Kapoor and Irfan Khan.
