Wendy Ord
Award winning director, Wendy Ord is in post on the Romantic Comedies, "Romantic Friction" and "Perfect Manicure" after completing "Best Version of Love" for Reel One and "Destination Christmas" for Lifetime-all shot in 2022. In 2021 she directed the MOW "The Way To The Heart" which dropped on Superchannel in April. "The Way To The Heart's lead actress, Meghan Heffern was nominated for a 2022 Leo award for Best Performance in a television movie.
She wrote, directed and co-produced "To The Worlds", which won 2020's Canadian Screen Award for Best Documentary Program. It was CBC's highest rated doc of the year & garnered rave reviews. To The Worlds received 5 Leo Award nominations for Best Documentary Program, Director, Writer, Editor and won for Original Score.
Wendy has directed numerous festival shorts, music videos and ½ hour television, including 26 episodes of the highly acclaimed series, Listen Up. Her debut feature film, Black Swan, (2003), won multiple awards on the festival circuit and was theatrically released & distributed by Lions Gate Films.
Wendy holds the distinction of being the first female 1st Assistant director in Canada and as such, has worked on hundreds of hours of television series, MOW's, Feature Films and 3-D Imax movies around the globe.
Other accolades include; Winner of the Women in the Director's Chair Banff Award, the Visionary Award from WIFT- Toronto, the Moving Images Award from WIFT-Vancouver, Best Screenplay for Charley's Fire at Music & Film in Motion, winner of the CFC's Go West Lab, Runner up in WIFT's genre screenplay competition and finalist in Whistler Film Fest's inaugural China Canada Gateway for feature script, Rock Bottom.

Emma Warner feels like she lives Christmas year-round. As SVP at a toy company, she has had a great year with the season’s most successful toy but she is exhausted. All she wants is a non-holiday vacation with hot guys and a beach. Her assistant books her a flight to St. Johns but she ends up on the wrong plane and lands in St. Johns, Alaska, a town that goes all out for Christmas. Local holiday hero, Connor is stuck dealing with Emma who he considers a scrooge until her childhood Christmas memories thaw her to this town and to Connor.
