Terrance Carty was born in Anguilla B.W.I., at the age of 14 he moved to Miami, FL. Upon graduating from high school he joined the Marine Corps, where he served honorably, after leaving the Marine Corps he began to pursue a career in acting. He attended Playhouse West acting school in Los Angeles and studied the Meisner technique of acting. During his time studying at Playhouse West, Carty appeared on stage in productions of The Sunset Limited, Orange Flower Water and Nothing Compares to You. His additional stage credit includes acting in the production of The Grieving Widows Auxiliary, directed by Naomi Stenson.
